On September 24-26, 2020, a seminar "State regulation of educational activities" was held. The event was hosted by the North Ossetian State University named after Kosta Levanovich Khetagurov. The event was aimed at improving professional competencies in licensing, state control and supervision as well as state accreditation of educational activities. Specialists of organizations engaged in educational activities and those interested in obtaining clarifications on this topic were invited to the event.

On September 25, the work of the seminar was opened by Alan Ogoev, the North Ossetian State University’s Rector. In his speech, he noted the relevance of such events for universities and thanked NAA for organizing this event.

Lyudmila Basharina, the Minister of Education of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, made a welcoming speech to the seminar’s participants.

Lemka Izmaylova, NAA’s Director, presented a report on the issues of state regulation of educational activities and changes in the legal support of the procedure for state accreditation. In her speech, Lemka Izmaylova told about the independent assessment of students’ training, the violations revealed during external review with site-visits, the rules for posting documents and materials on the official website of HEIs and the modernization of state accreditation procedure. NAA’s director also paid attention to the issues of international accreditation for Russian universities.

The seminar participants were presented with reports on the legal basis for licensing of educational activities, as well as control and supervision in the field of higher education.

On September 25, the seminar was attended by NAA’s leading specialists", experts of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, representatives of the Chuvash State Agrarian University, the Orenburg State Agrarian University, the Don State Technical University.

Summing up the results of the seminar, the participants noted the richness of the speakers' presentations as well as the high level of event organization.

On September 26, Mikhail Petropavlovsky, NAA’s Deputy Director - Director of NAA’s branch, opened the last day of the seminar. He told in detail about distance technologies for assessing the quality of students’ training during the procedure of state accreditation of educational activities.

Further, the seminar’s participants were presented with the reports on the external and internal assessment of quality of students’ training as well as the peculiarities of FSES 3 ++.

At the end of the seminar, the participants passed the final test and received certificates of further vocational training.
