NAA’s director participated in ANQA’s conference in Erevan (Armenia)

The conference “QUALITY IN THE CLASSROOM. ENHANCING STUDENTS ASSESSMENT” was held on 20-24 February, 2017 in Erevan (Armenia). NAA’s Director – Lemka S. Izmaylova participated in the event at the invitation of the Director of the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance (ANQA) – Ruben Topchyan.

The conference was aimed at attracting the attention of education, management and public representatives to the quality assurance issues. At the event, the participants discussed the current matters of quality assurance in higher education and student assessment, shared best practices, forming a common vision of the future education system.

Students, academicians, representatives from the quality assurance agencies in higher education of Switzerland, the UK, Ireland, Russia as well as the representatives from all Armenian HEIs took part in the conference.

Lemka S. Izmaylova presented the experience of accreditation procedures in Russia, which caused a lot of interest among the foreign colleagues. The discussion of topical issues and exchange of experience were continued after the presentation in private conversations.

An agreement on cooperation and interaction with the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance (ANQA, Director – Ruben Topchyan) was signed up after the informational meeting on issues of the education quality assurance and evaluation held at Situation and Information Center of Rosobrnadzor (Moscow, Russia) on July 22, 2016.

Several experts from Armenia have undergone a number of procedures to establish the compliance to the qualification requirements. Soon they will be included in the Register of certified experts of Rosobrnadzor in the field of state accreditation for educational and scientific organizations.
