On September 21 NAA’s representatives participated in the round table organized by the Moscow Department of Education

On September 21 Elena Zabolotskaya, the Head of NAA’s Expert Relations Department, took part in the round table “Aspects of work on the enhancement of operational efficiency of experts and expert panels conducting external review” held by the Moscow Department of Education.

Among the participants of the round table there were Nina Tishchenko, the Deputy Head of Moscow Division of State Supervision and Control, Elena Smirnova, a consultant of Moscow Division of State Supervision and Control, Nataliya Rubanova, the Head of the Department for the Support of Accreditation Procedures of the Moscow Center of Education Quality, Vladimir Lazarev, the Chairman of the Moscow Expert Association, Alexader Pastushenko, a Counselor of the Moscow Division of State Supervision and Control.

The attendees discussed topical issues concerning work of expert panels conducting external review, interaction between an expert panel and an educational organization in particular, as well as the mechanisms of quality enhancement of experts’ work. NAA’s representative Elena Zabolotskaya told about the Code of expert professional ethics and its main principles.

The round table ended up by adopting the resolution with the main decisions:

  1. To enable interaction with NAA in the practice of external reviews, sharing experience in involvement of qualified specialists as external review experts;
  2. To suggest the Moscow Expert Association developing the Code for experts and expert organization that shall include ethical standards for experts conducting external review;
  3. To hold seminars, workshops and round tables on a regular basis with the involvement of specialists of Moscow Department of Education, NAA, accredited experts and representatives of educational organizations to discuss topical issues on the contents of education, quality of student training and external review procedures.
