"Foresight of Education: Academic Freedoms VS Accreditation Restrictions"

On March 21, 2019 Lemka S. Izmaylova, NAA’s Director, participated in the International Scientific Methodological Seminar with a report “Development of state accreditation as a condition for improving the culture of higher education quality”

The conference was held in the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The event was attended by the representatives of Ministries and Department authorities of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the National Agency for the Development of Qualifications, Russian and international agencies for quality assurance in education, research institutes, professional employers’ associations and large Russian companies, leading Russian and foreign universities.

     

In the modern world, the quality of education is the main factor of an educational institution competitiveness and the guarantor of graduates’ employment. Constantly changing demands of the labor market, the need for personnel for the digital economy, students' desire for academic mobility, increase in the export of Russian education actually led to a transformation of the architecture and content of education and identified the need to improve approaches to assessing its quality.
